Jennifer Lopez taps into some Island flavour with her next single ‘I’m Into You’ from her upcoming new album ‘Love?’. The Lil’ Wayne assisted cut was a previously recorded demo for Taio Cruz and uses the exact same beat as Ne-yo‘s ‘Halo’. However, the Latina Lovely successfully manages to put her own spin on the midtempo tropical record and exploring a sparse caribbean sound in which she’s never visited before.
This is actually what makes ‘Into You’ a very interesting record. It is not as good or as catchy as her latest smash ‘On The Floor’, and although you could easily dismiss it as a rejected Rihanna cut, ‘Into You’ still has that radio friendly spark. It’s one of those songs where you’re just chilling in your ride with the speakers blasting and it punches the atmosphere with its summery overtones.
