As reported yesterday, former American Idol champ Fantasia performed at the 2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. Over the weekend, the 26-year-old put herself into the audience, sang her lungs out, shed some tears, became over emotional, picked herself back up again, threw off her shoes and did what fans came to see her do – put on a show!

The singer triumphantly declared to the large crowd “I’m doing me now New Orleans!”, which was met with massive cheers. The gig, which took place at The Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans, Louisiana saw the star perform tracks from her latest album ‘Back to Me’ and more. She paraded around in a leopard-print ensemble and debuted a funky new two-toned hairstyle. Check out the emotional footage below!
