Many people have berated Lady Gaga for being a gimmicky type of act. And while Leona Lewis says Gaga is great, her main focus lies solely on her musical creativity. The 26-year-old also defends herself against criticism that she’s considered a boring artist.

“I don’t care what anyone says. I’m not boring” she asserts defiantly “Unless you know me, I don’t really care about your opinions. I couldn’t care less. Lady Gaga does her crazy thing and she is great. I definitely have something different to offer. I’m all about the music and songs. But I have just as many wigs as Gaga and the next girl. I love playing with fashion too. I love changing my style. I designed a lot of my outfits during Grammy week. People are always going to say stuff – someone’s gold is another man’s sh*t. I felt comfortable. It was very pop and vibrant”. Source.

Did she really say the word sh*t in an interview? Well, that’s definetely an interesting way to dispell that accusation. As for the gimmick over substance argument, I think Gaga is talented. But chooses to add that part of herself to the package to make herself more appealing, although some people will view her as less of an artist due to the crazy wigs, antics and vice versa. I’m not interested in crazy outfits anyway. As long as the music is good, I’ll support.
