Michelle Williams is preparing to release a new album later this year and ‘Love Gun’, the first buzz single from the project has now hit online shores…

“My album will be ‘inspirational pop’ Think of Katy Perry’s ‘Fireworks’ or Natasha Beddingfeld’s ‘Unwritten.’ I want to give people a message of hope while at the same time get them moving with dance inspired tracks” says the 31-year-old.

I love Natasha Beddingfeld’s ‘Unwritten’ but Katy Perry? Not so much. The Druski produced cut berates a fella for ruining his chance at love. The bass-heavy dance-pop number consists of catchy synths and snare drums which slightly drowns out her vocals but the beat is quite good.

Plus, she pulls off the pop direction rather well. ‘Unexpected’ was a very underrated pop album and I’d have taken it any day over the pop offerings to surface in more recent times. Producers Jim Jonsin and Rico Love (both of whom has worked with the singer’s former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland recently) will be contributing towards the upcoming project.
