Michelle Williams is preparing to put out a new album soon. She shares a couple of details with The BoomBox about a project, which may very well be the least anticipated record out of all the Destiny’s Child members. Apparently, with her former bandmates Beyonce and Kelly Rowland putting out very R&B-influenced projects this year, Williams seems to be iffing and butting about adhering solely to the dance direction heard on previous album ‘Unexpected’ and latest buzz cut ‘Love Gun’. She previously told Concrete Loop that “my album will be inspirational pop”. I guess we can add that to the new brands alongside Usher‘s “revolutionary pop” and Cher Lloyd‘s “swap pop”.

Exploring new producers and new sounds, the 30-year-old namedrops Talib Kweli as a collaborator, shows admiration for Adele and addresses those pesky Destiny’s Child rumours (you know the answer). Sadly, Williams would benefit from a Destiny’s Child reunion the most. Click here to read the entire interview.
