This week, Beyoncé‘s baby bump anthem ‘Love On Top’ debuted at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on Digital Songs chart. This gives the 30-year-old her 20th top 20 hit on Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Shea Taylor-produced track will also serve as the official third single from her latest album ’4′, which has also re-entered the Billboard 200 top 10. FMBQ confirms a September 20th release for the track being sent out to mainstream radio and it is also listed on Mediabase’s All Access.
‘Love On Top’ is one of my favourite songs on the album, only because it is very much reminiscent to oldschool Ameriie. I live for oldschool Ameriie. Therefore, the track is simply orgasmic to my ears! I like that she went retro glam for her VMA performance because it matched the overall vibe of the song. Hot choice. Hot song.
I honestly thought she would never come close to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, with this album.

I don’t think your music review is credible if you believe “Love On Top” is anything reminiscent of Ameriie. I have listened to both of the artist grow artistically & have never seen the comparison; aside from the use of congos within their musical production.
“Love On Top” would be more reminiscent of Michael Jackson “Off the Wall” sound.
I do think she may hit #3 or 4 with this single. She really should have maximized the exposure of “End of Time” or “Party”
I forget with the baby bump she is forced to slow it down a little. Well in that case, Beyonce has many top 10′s or #1′s on the album she could credit off of. “I care” “Start over” and “Schoolin Life” are all master pieces in the making.
Nope, don’t hear MJ comparisons at all like I did with ‘End of Time’. This track could EASILY have been lifted from Amerrie’s debut or even ‘Touch’. When I said this on twitter, MANY of my followers agreed. Oh well.
I don’t know, I am going to place Amerie’s debut back in rotation & trying to conjure an unbiased opinion. At this point, I hear more Michael Jackson/Jackson 5(you said the same in your album review, if you can recall) than Amerie..
