Whispers to Aretha, “Pull it down girl!”
The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, gave Goldilocks a run for her money during New York City’s Fashion Week, wearing an unbelievable blonde wig and a frumpy black ensemble. However, unlike Goldilocks, Franklin never seems to get it just right.
I blame her stylist. Her hair and make-up team deserves to be fired too… Her assistant should also be dismissed for not stepping up! Franklin is far too legendary to be seen, at Fashion Week no less, in such a hideous wig—not to mention ill fitting. Poor thing. Lest we forget, the diva is no stranger to a daring fashion choice, Franklin set the blogosphere on fire with that bold, big-bowed headgear she donned at President Barack Obama’s Jan. 20th inauguration.
Look for Franklin’s illustrious set of pipes to be featured on Tony Bennett’s Duets II‘s album, to be released September 20th. Another pic after the jump.

Umph! Wow! Oh well, do ur thang soul sister queen. U go girl. Welcome back to good health.
Ms. Franklin is legendary and is known for her voice and not fashion, plus she’ll be 70 in March….when you’re that age and as legendary as she it she can do what she wants.
I agree with the post. She looks so cheap.
FRIGHTENING!!!!!!!!! O…M…G!!!!! Trainwreck mess.
She def from the hooodz. Another 100 lbs to go. Imma sure the wig ways half of that, shiiiiit!!
Damn, Tyler Perry as Madea is more feminine. Just saying.
I agree that her fashion people need to be FIRED! However, congrats to Aretha for losing al that weight!
As old as she is, I don’t think she has fashion people. I think she dresses herself normally on her own.
You made a mistake: this is Beyonce, not Aretha. Aretha is much prettier, and owns better wigs.

I doubt very much that Aretha has a stylist. I don’t think she cares one bit what people think about her
She looks like one of those Nutty Professor/The Klumps characters.
She was inspired by Rihanna’s red hair dew of this TBH.
She scared me… bless her heart.
I’d come to give the go-ahead with you here. Which is not something I typically do! I love reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
