Here is rejected X Factor USA judge Cheryl Cole arriving at her five-star Manhattan hotel at 1am in the morning. Look who’s tagging behind her. It’s popular hip-hop producer Alex Da Kid! Cheryl has officially turned her back on a once flourishing TV career (even recently rejecting Simon Cowell‘s £5m offer to do ‘Britain’s Got Talent’) by throwing herself back into music. Are we supposed to believe that the two 28-year-old’s were holed up in a hotel room making sweet music together at 1am? Kid appears to be exactly Cheryl’s type. He’s loaded, British, mixed race and was once a footballer (he once played football for Bristol City).

Many of you will recognise Kid as the producer behind Eminem and Rihanna‘s monster hit ‘Love The Way You Lie’, which was the biggest selling single of 2010. It was Cheryl’s US manager Will.i.am that hooked them up. Cheryl is currently working on her third studio album, while preparing a (goodbye) reunion with her girl band Girls Aloud next year.
