Rihanna was forced to cancel her concert in Malmo, Sweden earlier tonight after coming down with flu. She tweeted this shocking photo of her arm attached to an IV line with the words “Sorry Malmo!!!” In an official statement to US Weekly, the singer said: “I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden. I was so excited to perform for you all” and adding that “I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there”.
Rihanna has been overworking herself like mad. She’s been touring excessively with not much of a gap in between so-called breaks. When she does get a day or two off, she uses it spending time in the studio to finish recording her upcoming new album ‘Talk That Talk’ (out on Nov 21st). With the singer’s ‘Loud’ tour taking up pretty much the entire period of November and December, there leaves very little room for her to do serious promotion for the project. I don’t even get why she’s still recording the album. Why announce a release date if an album is not complete? It just seems like she’s working herself into the ground just to meet the deadline. Shouldn’t it be, you complete the album FIRST, then announce the release date LATER? It just seems farfetched that she’s still recording the album two weeks before it is due to be released. Saying that, here’s a question. Is all this excessive workload causing Rihanna to become ill? We wish her nothing but a speedy recovery.
