Jason Derulo has been a fixture on radio with his American brand of Euro-pop for a steady two years now; still, he’s yet to make a [brand] name for himself. For his sophomore effort, Derulo was aiming for ‘Future History’ to elevate him from a wannabe to a stand-alone artist, in relation to his r&b/pop peers (Trey Songz, Chris Brown). While he may possess a decent voice and flashy dance moves like badboys Songz and Brown, his album sales bare little resemblance.

Never to be confused with a chart topper, Jason Derulo’s new album ‘Future History’ sold an embarrassing 13K copies in it’s first week [insert face palm]. Poor guy. Jason may not be a household name and his singles may only stay afloat due to their trendy catchiness…but DAMN!
