When Ryan Leslie lost his laptop in Germany a year ago, he offered a $1 million reward to anyone who found it. RLes was desperate to get it back because it featured songs from his ‘Les Is More’ album, which he released this past July. No sooner had he made that offer, a German man made his claim after returning it to police (he found it while walking his dog). Joyous that he was about to live a life of luxury, Armin Augstein was doing cartwheels. After all, I can imagine that finding that laptop was like finding a winning lottery ticket. Despite the German consistently emailing RLes, those emails went completely ignored and now the man has filed a lawsuit in the Manhattan federal court.
It will be interesting to see how he fights his way out of this one because there is multiple evidence showing that RLes offered the $1 million reward (interviews, youtube, twitter, facebook and vice versa). This is such a downright cheek! I hope his balls grow a conscience and he pays the man the money he is rightfully owned. While $1 million is life changing money, you don’t make those type of promises only to unfairly rescind it. And if he didn’t have that type of money, why make the offer? I’m sure he has it. I just don’t think he wants to pay it. The man returned the laptop! So pay up Ryan!
