Snapshot: Jennifer Lopez & co pose for official ‘American Idol’ promo…

Jennifer Lopez and her co-stars Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Ryan Seacrest pose together in the first official 2012 American Idol promotional photo. Tyler looks rubbery (sorry but he does), J.Lo looks your royal cuteness and well, Jackson looks like Jackson for lack of a better word.

Idol producers forked out a massive $20m to get Lopez to return and here is the final result. Lopez will likely use the show as another platform to unveil her new music again.

Epic Records head LA Reid has given Ciara fans the life they have been waiting for. New Ciara music coming their way, and we may not have to wait that long for it either! Taking to twitter, the music mogul wrote: “Ciara is about to bring some excitement to the airwaves. Coming soon!”

This news serves as a really nice New Years surprise and without doubt, this will certainly have her fans popping corks. For it was not even expected that she’d launch her comeback so soon. I’m definitely excited about it! Are you?

Whitney Houston has kept her nose out of musical doors as of late but not in regards to other projects. It has been confirmed that a documentary named ‘The Wonderful Family Of Divas’ will feature commentary from the singer herself, as well as selective members of her family including her co-legendary auntie Dionne Warwick and mother Cissy Houston.

The piece, shot between 2010-2011 and written/directed by acclaimed director Gary Keys, chronicles the family’s history from how it all started in Savannah, Georgia in 1938 to the success and critical acclaim that have followed them since. Definitely something to watch out for!

Well, hello there! Lady Gaga has gone and got herself a hot new boyfriend! The singer has been dating ‘Vampire Diaries’ hunk Taylor Kinney for five months and this is the first time they have been snapped together in full paparazzi glare. Gaga and Taylor got close after he starred in her music video for ‘You And I’.

I’m not mad at Gaga at all for snagging someone as hot as Taylor. He’s definitely a huge upgrade!

It took half a year to get there but she eventually did it! Beyonce‘s latest album ’4′ has officially gone platinum in the States after selling 1,036,793 copies. The project, which is said to be her most expressive as far as substance goes, has drawn mixed reaction from fans and critics alike.

This is good, considering that she never had to resort to ridiculous slash prices, and promo was not as in your face like previous eras. Without doubt, ’4′ is the best selling R&B album of the year!

Photobucket“Subtweet: it’s the shortening of ‘subliminal tweet’ which is directly referring to a particular person without mentioning their name or directly mentioning them.”

Around 11:30am EST (US) Rihanna took to her unfiltered twitter account to tweet this cryptic message, “I will always love you #1LOVE”. Less than a minute later Chris Brown replied with, “Love U more than you know!” Neither one is slick and both have been clocked as it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to discern what they’re talking about. The world is watching…

See screencaps of their romantic subtweets to each other after the jump and sound off below!

PhotobucketExpectant mother to be Beyonce recently took to her official website to list her favorite singles of 2011. Like the maker of this list, it was pretty predictable to say the least with usual suspects like Jay Z (“N*ggas In Paris”) and Kelly Rowland (“Motivation”); but there were definitely a few surprises that made the cut.

Check out Bouncy‘s full list of favs after the jump and sound off on her taste below!

PhotobucketWho would have thought after it’s initial release that Rihanna‘s flighty first single, “We Found Love” would become the worldwide smash that it has. Since it’s September 22, 2011 debut, the Calvin Harris produced singled has peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained No. 1 for eight weeks, marking not only Ms. Fenty’s longest running No. 1, but also the longest running No. 1 in 2011, beating even Adele‘s “Rolling in the Deep”. This week, however, “We Found Love” was unable to secure yet another week at the top. Adele, on the other hand, looks as if her soulful single, “Set Fire To The Rain” is set to pull the ultimate coup d’état for the chart’s pole position based on radio airplay alone. Get it.

Check to see where the dethroned “We Found Love” found itself on the chart this week, as well as the complete Top 10 after the jump!
