Ashanti attended the premiere of ‘Safe House’ in New York City this week. She also visited Q104-7 the day before to chat with Rico & Mambo about hooking up with Will.i.am for her upcoming new album. She met the Black Eyed Peas in the Philipines late last year and chose the moment to proposition him. Although his style bares no similarity to Ashanti’s music, she says she’d like to experiment with something different.

“He has his pop swag but he has his Hip Hop Swag still. I think a fusion would be something new and different” she says. He also has crap swag too. Ugh. The singer’s new music video for promo single ‘The Woman You Love’ will premiere later this month.
