Rihanna has really improved as a performer, and especially with her live vocals. While performing her latest smash ‘We Found Love’ the Bajan songstress rocked that Courtney Love weave, didn’t lip sync, and still gave some MAJOR choreography while on stage. The performance was very entertaining with Rihanna incorporating the willie bounce and some of those carnival inspired dance dances! Her body also slayed!
Some would even say this was the most they’ve ever seen Rihanna attempt to dance, although Rihanna DID focus a lot on choreography during the very early stages of her career. It’s just that when she blew up, the effort kind of dwindled. She then joined Coldplay for their collaboration ‘Princess of China’. I got so much life from her performance last night and I’ll be shocked if anyone can say with a straight face that she has not improved as a performer.
She may have gotten better…but this was far from a slaying performance! she sounded a mess and was stiff as hell. she needs to get some stage swag asap, she’s been in the game too long now to still be looking mediocre.
RiRi may have improved as a performer, but as a singer.. not so much. Her vocals were so off key, as were Chris Martin’s (for the majority of both Paradise & Princess of China). It was definitely a lackluster performance! However, I did love RiRi’s Whitney shoutout, and she did work the stage, but her vocals.. She can do so much better!!

One of the first performances where she didn’t look asleep and actually commanded the stage. She still is very stiff at the waist and hips mostly, but love the fact that she did choreo and sang! Good job on her improvement. I can actually see her becoming an artist who is respected for her live performances if she keeps up the imrpovement. Thank God there is some light shining through! lol

Rihanna did great =) That was the best rendition of WFL so far and I loved the beginning. POC was okay but wasn’t really necessary. Btw, love rihanna’s hair and her body has never looked better. She was by far best dressed on the red carpet.

Rihanna started WFL but she did not finish it. Rihanna forgot she was lip syncing and letting backtracking do the norm, she stopped moving her mouth when everything else kept going. Rihanna stans should know by now she cant sing and dance at the same time! She was trying to be to cute to do anything, that stuff with Chris Martin was funny.. Stans stop being stans and be true fans for once cause a true fan will let you know when you did terrible..
omg, the standards for rihanna are so low: she actually danced and “singed” (if that’s what you called it) live. Well I’ve seen she singing better than that (on key for a start) and I’d rather see her sing than dance. But let’s praise her for the effort, right? Rihanna worked the stage last night. Haters are mad b/c their worst fear just came true. It’s a shame y’all can’t give a person props when they are due which just makes you sad and bitter. But, keep hating while she keeps slaying. This is the best she has EVER sounded. She needs to keep this up. Consistency is what is lacking with Rihanna; one moment she is amazing the next she sucks. She got major points from me for singing LIVE. Dancing shouldn’t be an excuse to lip synch your way through a performance.

She didn’t sing the chorus, which is all the song is, of We Found Love live…it was the same audio ish as XFactor but she was dancing DOWNE! Gave me life.

Rihanna did step up her dancing, but as far as it being this hot dance number is going to far. They were basic moves that she looked bored performing. She was singing live but she had a loud backing track.
I love Rihanna but I must admit that I kinda laughed when she sang We Found Love…I think she had better performances…she was having a hard time trying to sound on key and the falsetto’s were very poor

I was giving her props for “We Found Love” but when started singing “Princess…” she was pitchy and off key. The male singer was juz as bad. Toya I respect your talents, but you do appear to be biased with certain singers. From a professional journalist (me), you are really loosing your credibility with your audience.
