Last night (Feb 19th), Cassie hosted her official ‘King Of Hearts’ release party at SL in New York City. Of course her fella Diddy was there, as well as several pals, who helped her to celebrate the release. Sadly, the song has been underperforming, slowly lingering up, down and around the #190-170′s on iTunes and not really moving. Still, Cassie looked very happy. After all, she’s now the number one chick (and possibly, the only chick left) on her boyfriend’s Bad Boy label.

This is a disappointment. i thought the song was a hit, however the promotion is all wrong! no performances, no trending topics on twitter, no chart placement into the top 10. she needs to get out there and perform to prove that she can sing a tune. she needs to do more than tweet and party. if this single doesn’t fly then she’s over and i will no longer stan for her. get it together bad boy! it should be in heavy rotation by now on ALL radio stations!

It comes down to the same thing as boy wants girl – boy works his ass off to get girl + boy gets girl – girl gives it up = girl ends up getting short end of stick ‘cz boy got what he wanted. Diddy wanted Cassie from the start – did the promo and massive hype creating buzz for her debut album + he courts and gets her = she now has no real need to sing a lick as she be on tha’ dick to get that cash quick.

Cassie has me listening to “It’s about Time” with new ears – given the whole Illuminati thing. That song was a prediction. Ryan Leslie really musta loved her.

U can’t hate on the fact that “King of Hearts” isn’t shooting straight to the top ten. U know what is in the top ten tho? Shitty, basic music like Katy Perry’s and Nicki Minaj’s new singles.
“King of Hearts” is an actually imaginitive and unique.

If anything, it has the possibility to be another slow burning hit like “Me & U”

Well, so far the song has gotten radioplay on only 5 stations in the whole US, as I know. The official impact is on March 6. This song will take a few weeks or even months until it will be the hit it’s destined to be.

@Denise 5 stations? that’s it? SMH Bad Boy MUST do better! Diddy needs to put more money and effort into his artists like he does his ciroc and diddy beats headphones. it’s funny how he can pay for superbowl placements etc but can’t put money behind his artists. selfish bastard.
