A few days ago, Jennifer Lopez, now known as “The Most Beautiful Woman in the world” (duh!), wet our appetites with a snippet of her soon-to-be smash dance single ‘Dance Again’. The track has finally leaked in it’s entirety, with news of the video reportedly premiering on April 5 on American Idol. Does this not seem too familiar?

Well, it’s a strategy which just might work again because the song is a storcher! The track finds Jennifer in the same position as she was a year ago – a Latin queen sitting upon her throne, preparing for battle on the dancefloor. The prize? Love of course (oh, the irony/pun. No tea, no shade…I swear).

Fusing thumping bass and sizzling synths, decorated with the Latin elements to cater to her worldwide fans, RedOne lends his recycling skills to J.Lo again and calls in radio rapper Pitbull to join in on the event and boost the sales of the Love?  make some magic on the charts. Splashes of techno synths pulpitate throughout the chorus while Jennifer declares her need to dance and love again. Pitbull adds a much needed boost to the track with his catchy catchphrases and feels perfectly at home on the four-on-the-floor banger.

‘Dance Again’ serves as another ode to ‘Waiting For Tonight’ , and maybe as a thankful letter to the career-reviving hit ‘On The Floor’, with it’s latin dance-pop elements, which will result in an abundance of single sales. The autotune works in J.Lo’s favour, hiding her vocal flaws and serving as an instrument of structural support that compliments the song. Jennifer sings with such conviction, you would actually think that she recorded this song during a Ke$ha-hosted “Happy Divorce and Remarriage’” rave party.

Hopefully those singles can translate into album sales because we all know what happened to Love?…

For now, I command you to stand up, turn your speakers up to the highest of volumes, and strut every inch of your body until the sounds of your tearing ligaments blissfully grace your ears.
