Letoya Luckett’s biggest fansite closes down because she’s “ungrateful”…

The webmaster of letoyanews.com has shut down the site because it is claimed Letoya is ungrateful, and unlike Rihanna, does not show any appreciation to her fans.

You might not realize this but my position in the entertainment business allowed me to lobby for you and allow you to get gigs without you even knowing it was thanks to me. I got you slots on TV for performances and interviews, magazine spreads and more. I am not going to mention which ones exactly but a lot of those, you would NEVER had got without ME.

Most artists would kill to have a fanbase like yours. I don’t understand this reluctance to communicate with your fans. I appreciate you releasing a few web episodes here and there but seeing that in 3 years recording you still haven’t found a hit song is worrisome. Ask Rihanna how long it takes her to record her albums and get these catchy hooks you’re looking for.

There is only 24 hours in a day and I would rather you focus on getting that album out. You’re not getting any younger and acting you can always do when you’re older, not music. At least not at the level we want you to be at. However, IT IS YOUR LIFE and if acting is what you want to go for now IT IS YOUR RIGHT to do so. It is so obvious that you have lost your hunger for success in music. But since I am a fan of you by way of music if you can’t provide that there is no reason I should continue supporting you.

I’ve pretty much said this especially with her acting career taking on a bigger priority lately but now that her most updated fansite is no more, what exactly does this mean for her music career? Can she still succeed?

I agree with Rap. This is what makes me think that the owner of this s\ite is full of sh*t by saying they have a spot in the industry…especially of such leverage. If they did, then they would definitely understand all the legal bull that LeToya has been through ever since she entered into a deal with Capitol all those years ago. I would love for JoJo to release a who bunch of new ish…or would’ve loved for an immediate follow up to Libra from Toni, but Blackground wrapped them up in ore legal bull than anything. LeToya will release when the time is right and when she can. We look at thing from such an outside perspective and don’t know what happens behind the scene. So if she can make money elsewhere until then, I’m all for it. Sheesh.

I am like Wow. That’s all I got to say. Letoyaonline.com is still out there. I will always be a fan of her music. With all that goes on in the music industry. U don’t give up. As a fan just don’t give up.

I know that they give Rihanna flack for dropping 6 albums in 6 years,
but thats how she rolls and she has to do what ever it take to keep

Letoya has been working on music, but it’s not getting put out, because it’s sub par. They’re calling her ungrateful, because she is a mean girl. She has entitlement issues and doesn’t associate with people she doesn’t consider ‘important’ (i.e. celebrities.) This girl should stick to acting and collect her royalty checks. Just glad her fans had the gumption to speak up and let her know.

@Blue Nicki does NOT appreciate her fans. That’s why she went on that disrespectful ass rant and then left twitter. She still hasn’t even apologized to the eleven million she carried so rudely.

@KC, I totally agree. Who just ups and abandons their faves because they aren’t getting serviced the way they want? The girl will drop the music when she can. You have to be patient sometimes.

It’s Letoyas’s life, and if she wants to focus on acting, that her right. The webmaster might realise he is not a fan anymore, because he was mainly interested in her music (just like me), he shouldn’t be ranting like that…humility goes both ways.

Personally, I don’t consider the person who wrote the letter a TRUE fan. If you’re a TRUE fan of an artist then you support them in ever aspect of their career. SO WHAT if Letoya wants to branch off into acting, what artist isn’t. Artist have to do more than just put out albums these days if they want their fan base to grow and most importantly keep the bills paid. That’s like Rihanna or Beyonce’s fans shutting down a website because they decided to branch off into acting instead of putting out an album. Whoever wrote this letter sounds bitter and selfish. If I were Letoya, I wouldn’t even want someone so bitter like to even have a website about me. If You can’t love ALL(The Music,Acting and whatever else she choses to do) of Letoya then take your so called “Loyalty” else where.

I kinda agree about the person has come across kinda ungrateful or not understanding of Letoya’s musical career cuz the industry is a game you have to play right her last album was good but wasnt all over the place so people dismissed as to slow or boring when in reallity I dont believe gave her a real chance and cuz it wasn’t on the radio like that peole didnt know it was out or ddidnt bothr to purchase it. Lets face it when people see an album on the shelf and didnt hear anything about out they assume its not worthy esp if they’re not fans

Fans don’t always understand what is going on behind the scenes. There could be all types of problems preventing the album from coming out. But, I also understand the stan side too. A lot of time and their own money goes into running a fan site. It is hard to stay motivated when you aren’t being shown any appreciation. She only has 2 fan sites. I don’t’ think it would be too difficult to shout them out or tell them what’s going on w/her career. I also don’t agree that you should be a fan of every aspect of a person’s career. I am a fan of Bey the singer/dancing, not actress. If she decided to quite singing, I wouldn’t have anything else to stan for as I think she sucks at acting. Letoya is not a good actress either. Period. She is wasting time on something that won’t go beyond bet, low budget films. It is hard for talented black actress to get even half decent roles, what makes her think she can do better? Get real. Self awareness is key here.

AND, People need to chill w/all that ‘Rihanna loves her fans” bs. What artists, who loves their fans, stay on twitter cursing them out? You say one thing she doesn’t like and you’re all types of cunts and bitches. I remember when that one fan tweeted her telling her other fans were tweeting her false info just to get a RT. She replied back with, ‘You got a problem w/how I run my twitter?’ and then un-followed her. The fuck? Who does that? That girl is an entitled bitch and think every thing she has can’t every be taken away. So many before her thought the same thing.
