Cassie is in no position whatsoever to be cancelling performances. That is why it comes as a surprise she has scrapped her impending gig at the Isle of MTV Malta Special next month. According to her reps, she won’t be performing at the show due to “scheduling conflicts”. What scheduling conflicts? Unless she means following boyfriend Diddy around at every glitzy red carpet and looking a million dollars while playing up the trophy girlfriend. It’s baffling that she practically graces more red carpets these days than an actual stage.
The model with a mic, has only performed new single ‘King of Hearts’ once on 106 & Park and any potential momentum that the song has had is now gone. This scrapped performance would have seen her perform in front of a 50,000 strong crowd, and giving her the platform to build up her confidence as a performer. Honestly, where are her priorities? Is she even taking her music career seriously? I hope she has something major lined up because this new album does not look like it will ever see the light of day. Again.
