No Doubt‘s official artwork for their comeback single ‘Settle Down’ is here nor there. But a cheap looking cover still doesn’t affect my anticipation to hear the single on July 16th. The Sophie Muller-directed music video has already been shot and will drop on the same day. Over some wacky, ska-ish graphics, Gwen Stefani still shows that she knows how to defy the aging process in the most flawless way possible. Adrian and Tom aren’t even looking at the camera, and just appear mighty awkward. Not that it matters much. What matters is that this new single needs to slay. It’s their first one in like, 9 years? A decade, almost. I hope they can come back and kick that ageism problem right up the industry’s backside.

The band have lined up a number of promo performances for the track including Teen Choice Awards on July 22nd, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on July 26th and Good Morning America on July 27th. ‘Settle Down’ serves as the debut track off No Doubt’s upcoming sixth studio album ‘Push and Shove’, which will be released on September 25th. You ready?
