Wynter Gordon showcases a relatively raw vocal performance while covering Natalie Imbruglia’s classic 90′s hit ‘Torn’. Wynter’s presentation was done for Billboard magazine’s ‘Candid Covers’ session, which also saw her perform ‘Kids’ from her new EP ‘Doleo’. An exclusive Q&A was also distributed.

Alicia Keys expresses her excitement about performing at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on September 6th. The 31-year-old will debut a “crazy” new track from her new album. She did not confirm whether it will be the newly debuted ‘New Day’ or a different track altogether but says the performance will be a “really empowering and powerful moment”. The new era begins.
Tamia wowed audiences during her stunning live set at SummerStage a few days ago. The free concert music series took place at New York’s Springfield Park and Tamia closed it off with her golden pipes. Unfortunately, her segment was cut short due to the massive intensity of wind and rain. As a result, the show had to be SHUT DOWN!
Miguel is the new generational Maxwell with splashes of Prince nostalgia. Or at least he’s trying to be. That much is evident in not just sound but visually as well! I’m not complaining though because the man is exceptionally talented and ‘Adorn’ is mah mudda facking tune! It IS thee tune! Unwrap the dimly lit, woman-chasing visual below!!!!!
Tulisa Contostavlos shot scenes for her new music video ‘Live It Up’ in the sun-soaked shores of Hawaii last night. Rapper Tyga, who features on the track, was also snapped on the video set. The X Factor judge has now wrapped up the shoot and is set to start filming the judges’ houses segment. This should all tie in nicely with the promo of the new single, and we can definitely bet the 24-year-old will snag herself a performance on the live shows too.

Teyana Taylor recreates Janet Jackson’s legendary 1993 ‘Rolling Stone’ cover. The artwork was also used for Janet’s 93′ album ‘Janet’, one my favourite albums of all time. Teyana was snapped by sexy actor Lance Gross, but that make-up is looking a little bold. Perhaps someone should have told Teyana that when recreating iconic art, she should actually try looking at the original. On the other hand, maybe it would have been a better idea not to have went there, AT ALL.
Melanie Amaro releases the official artwork for her debut single ‘Don’t Fail Me Now’. The track will get its grand premiere tomorrow on August 1st, and lets hope it sounds a lot better than how that single cover looks. Melanie promises to come back with a new look after L.A. Reid hired her a trainer and put her on a strict diet. She’s been documenting her gym sessions on twitter. If you’ve seen Jordin Sparks‘ latest ‘Shape’ cover, that is how Melanie is going to look in a few years time.
Nelly Furtado performs a live set for AOL Sessions in Los Angeles recently. The singer sang her way through a couple of songs from her forthcoming fifth album, ‘The Spirit Indestructible’. Nelly has come pretty hard with the material this era and she’s done a fair bit of promo so do not ask me why her first two singles have flopped this time around. I don’t have the answer.
