Justin Bieber delivers a futuristic mash-up of ‘Boyfriend’ and the Big Sean-assisted ‘As Long as You Love Me’ at last night’s 2012 Teen Choice Awards. But it was the latter single (his latest) that received the most airtime on a day that marked girlfriend Selena Gomez‘s 20th birthday.
Justin’s background dancers looked like they’d walked right off the set of Star Trek, while they popped and locked around the stage. A dazzling spectacle of crazy lights bombarded the set with a breathless Biebs showcasing his overly rehearsed dance moves. He tried to swag it up in a metro urban style outfit made from aluminum foil. But at the end of the day, when you take away all the stage theatrics and pyrotechnics, Biebs really is just your average pop star. The Anthony Mandler-directed music video for ‘As Long as You Love Me’ is set to premiere very soon and serves as the second single from the teen pin-up’s new album ‘Believe’ (out now).
