Ciara teases her new music video for comeback single ‘Sorry’, with the clip’s first still. In fact, teasing fans this era is what Ciara has been notorious for but her appetisers are practically dryer than burnt toast without its butter. There is still no premiere date for the track, but she promises that the Christopher Sims-directed video is on its way.

The last two days have seen Cheryl Cole in headlines. Much of that has to do with being injured alongside Will.i.am during a car accident in Los Angeles, while hitting up a MacDonalds for a bite to eat at 3am. Hmmm, because grabbing food at 3am with your male bff, especially one that fancies the pants off you, is the normal thing to do these days isn’t it? Saying that, it’s good to see her in one peace and doing well. Putting the trauma behind her, she visited BBC Radio 1 and spoke to Fearne Cotton about the accident (her arm was in a casting), her feelings towards turning the big 3.0 next year, reuniting with Girls Aloud for their 10-year anniversary and her upcoming tour.
The tour, which supports the release of her latest album ‘A Million Lights’ kicks off in October, and prior to the accident, she was in LA to rehearse for the trek. All of her dancers (including new boyfriend Tre) are American. Her music is in no means offensive (even if her vocals are). However, she does put on a good show so fans in attendance should be in for a great time, even if she finds herself lip-syncing for dear life.
Tulisa releases the alternative version of her new music video for second solo single, ‘Live It Up’. The X Factor judge is seen moving around stiffly in a flashy nightclub, while Phones 4u competition winners put all their focus into filming the final product on their Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Tulisa used the solo version of the track for the clip. She is accompanied by backing dancers and men beating on drums with coloured paint spattering over the instruments.
Unfortunately, the N-Dubz frontwoman is still trying to make this musical atrocity happen. Click here to watch the Collin Tilley-directed original if you missed it. The Tyga-assisted cut will be released on September 9th and serves as the second single from her debut album, slated to drop in stores on November 26th.
Keyshia Cole is certainly a woman on a mission. The R&B songstress and her husband Daniel Gibson visited the Breakfast Club this morning on Power 105. An array of topics were discussed, including her new album ‘Woman To Woman’ and how she juggles her career with marriage, family and motherhood.
KC also talks about her BET reality show ‘Family First’, why her last album, ‘Calling All Hearts’ encountered low first week sales and more. ‘Woman To Woman’ is slated to hit the shops in November and her new single ‘Enough Of No Love’ has entered the top 10 on Billboards Hip-Hop/R&B chart. Such a feat makes this her 12th top 10 hit on that tally!
Alicia Keys is preparing to bring her empowering new single live to next week’s MTV Video Music Awards on September 6th. The 31-year-old releases a brand new VMAs promo, where she is seen at her piano belting out a portion of the hook to her new single ‘Girl On Fire’.
Let’s just hope her live vocals are just as polished as those recorded belts. For the singer has already encountered quite a bit of flack over the years for sounding like a straining cat being throttled. ‘Girl On Fire’ will be digitally released on September 4th, followed by the album of the same name on November 27th.
In the week of her debut album’s release, Rita Ora has embarked on her first ever headlining solo tour of the UK. Last night on August 30th, Rita’s latest stop was the Scala in London, which saw the flamboyant chanteuse rocking a vibrant neon green outfit and performing every song off her new album ‘Ora’. The 21-year-old is set to score her first #1 album in the UK this week.
A neon-daubed stage set sees Rita spreading that infectious spirit to the London crowd while rocking out to all of her hits and more. Are you simply fed up of Ms Ora and her never-ending promo? Or can you not get enough? In which case, check out her entire concert below.
In a bid to increase further exposure for her debut album ‘Sticks and Stones’, Cher Lloyd continues her promotional attack of the States. Taking to the stage at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, she promotes US hit ‘Want U Back’ and second single ‘With Ur Love’ on the Today Show, rocking a tiny multi-coloured tutu dress and joined by backing dancers.
Cher could do with working more on her stage presence, but in part the performance was cutesy, and she is looking very Katy Perry-ish these days. The last time the X Factor popstrel hit the stage, she had bottles of urine thrown her way. However, she was full of buzz yesterday and had a lot to be gleeful about.
Ciara sheds some insight on her new album ‘One Woman Army’ in a brand new interview with Centric’s ‘The Hot 10’. Everything was discussed from her signature backbend, the new variation in her musical direction, how she deals with criticism and inspiring young women.
The interview gave some real perspective which was nice to see. But talk is cheap. September is here. And she still has yet to drop that first real single. Be it ‘Sorry’ or something else. While we wait for another year or two, fans can still rape the play button on new cuts such as ‘Overdose’, ‘Sweat’ and ‘Livin’ It Up’. Sigh.
Alicia Keys allows her natural beauty to shine on the official artwork for new single ‘Girl On Fire’. The promo shots this era have been on point and AK is clearly ready to unveil her new lease on life. ‘Girl On Fire’ is also the name of her new album, which will hit the shops on November 27th.
The track, which has been deemed as ‘infectious’, is available to download on September 4th through iTunes. She will also perform it live at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on September 6th. In less than a week, we finally get to hear it. I’m excited.
Today, Brandy unleashes the official artwork for her anticipated new album ‘Two Eleven’. Brandy is giving fierce with the model posture and her body is looking real tight. The project drops in stores on October 16th, and is preceded by lead single ‘Put It Down’, and follow-up single ‘Wildest Dreams’.
The deluxe cover is the same but filtered in yellow hue. Unfortunately, it looks like anyone could have done it using an instagram filter. Deluxe covers and their different hues can be a bit tedious which is why Rihanna can be admired for using a different photo for hers. Other than that, Brandy’s standard cover knocks. And hopefully, the music does too.
