Soul android Janelle Monaé and chart topper Rita Ora took to the stage at the inaugural ‘Made In America’ festival in Philadelphia over the weekend. Monaé performed with a live band, working the stage in her usual androgynous waiter get-up. The pint sized singer treated crowds to a cover of the Jackson Five‘s ‘I Want You Back’, as well as the show stopping ‘Tightrope’.
Rita performed ‘How We Do’ to close off her set, and later hung out with new best pal Beyonce. Their sighting comes a full week after Beyonce promoted the crap out of Rita’s next UK single ‘Shine Ya Light’ on her official website. A few days later, Rita announced it herself.
Let’s rejoice for real sisterhood.
