Watch: Nelly Furtado performs ‘Big Hoops’ on ‘Red or Black’…

Canadian pop star Nelly Furtado and her bright robots took to the stage on UK game show ‘Red or Black’ this weekend to perform her latest single, ‘Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)’. Nelly let her special talent for nasal singing take center stage while world championship hoop dancers the Duncan brothers participated in a game which allowed contestants to move onto the next round.

Fun performance from Nelly although it’s high time for the nasal-singing chanteuse to retire this song already. It just aint happening! Nelly’s new album ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ is released in the UK on September 17th and in the US the following day.

When you constantly bring up the “nasal” word, is it shade or humor? I mean, come on, she doesn’t sound all that nasal here, and why not perform the song? If anything, it’s more for the album promo and perhaps some were reminded how great the song is and this made them go out and buy the single & album.

It makes sense to perform this song because its been out longer than the title track but I would have preferred The Spirit Indestructible. The live version SHITS on the studio version in my opinion. Its like they watered down her vocals on the studio version.

Big Hoops is faster, uptempo and energetic but Spirit Indestructbale is a much better song. I hope this project doesn’t flop as hard. Maybe it’ll be one of those slow burners and with a re-release of 2-3 new hot songs, it will be around this time nxt fall?

And this performance wasn’t spectacular. She looked great but the short performance did nothing for anyone. Felt like a 30 sec live act and then its forgetable.

Love you, Nelly! but your promo started so late. Wishing you the best for this bc I might purchase it.
