Bruno Mars is back! After dominating the globe in 2010 with his debut album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’, Mars makes a comeback with his new single ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’! The track serves as the lead single to be lifted from his hotly anticipated sophomore album ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’, hitting stores on December 11th!

With production by Mark Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie and songwriting/production team the Smeezingtons, the uptempo cut is infectiously catchy with a whooole lot of funk and groove! On the feel-good pop/rock number, he basks in a world where the “sex takes him to paradise”:

If Michael Jackson‘s ‘Beat It’ and The Police‘s ‘Message In A Bottle’ had a musical baby, this is exactly what it would sound like. The track is so 1980′s and it’s pretty evident who he has been listening to for inspiration. Nonetheless, I like the track, not loving it just yet. I think it needs a few more listens, but it needs to be said how crisp his vocals sound on the track. Mars will officially launch his ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ campaign when he hosts the October 20th episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live and at some point, we can expect a performance too.
