Holy crap. So this is what I wake up to? Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj embroiled in a bitter feud, where Minaj threatens Carey? With receipts too? Ha. I’d like to see them try and deny their feud after this. Lawd. TMZ are some vultures. But I predicted this. I sure did! During the ‘American Idol’ auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina, TMZ reports that yesterday the show had to be cut after Minaj swore at Carey threatening, “I’m gonna knock you out”. Wow, listen to Minaj’s mouth go orrrrfffff. She is so ratchet. I never understood why Minaj was chosen to judge SINGING talent anyway. They put her there, obviously, to bring in younger viewers. And it’s not like she’s an industry veteran so a question mark will always loom down on her gimmicky presence at that table.
Meanwhile, bosses over at Fox will surely use this publicity to once again secure top ratings for their declining show. And there goes that crucial word, the big ‘P’. Whether this is a publicity stunt or for real, I’m sure this will make for some entertaining television. It’s just sad that when it comes to reality shows these days, it’s become more about the judges than the actual contestants. But will I be fixated? Hell yeah.
