As well as working on her fourth studio album ‘Better’, Chrisette Michele releases ‘Charades’ from her upcoming mixtape, ‘Audrey Hepburn’. The cut features a rusty verse from her Def Jam labelmate 2 Chainz. The mixtape will arrive on December 8th, and it’s inspired by the late Hollywood legend.
Sung with class and ease, Chrisette shines on this seductive number, but Chainz’s addition is nothing more than a farce. ‘Charades’ is in deed a good song that would have been much more enjoyable without Chainz. I feel like his addition was just there for marketing purposes in a ploy to gain herself some radio play. SMH.
