One of the highlights from BET’s ‘Black Girls Rock’ concert was when Ciara reunited with Missy Elliott on stage. The pair performed a selection of songs consisting of Ciara’s latest track ‘Sorry’, her new title track, ‘One Woman Army’, old time fan favourite ’1,2 Step’, and Missy’s latest track ’9th Inning’. The crowd went nuts when Missy came out on stage so her comeback was widely anticipated. Ciara wasn’t overshadowed too much though because she oozed so much star quality as expected.
This was easily the best performance of the night. Ciara certainly came for those wigs as she blitzed the stage and slayed her set. It is still sad she has now become the underdog during this stage in her career when she should be on Rihanna and Beyonce‘s level of success. Do you agree?
