She’s finally done it! Rihanna scores first US #1 album with ‘Unapologetic’…

Congratulations to Queen Rihanna for scoring her first #1 album in the United States selling a respectable 238,949 copies!

‘Unapologetic’ achieved Rihanna her highest first week sales on the back of its lead single, ‘Diamonds’ and she said she cried “like a p*ssy” at finding out the news. It’s a big deal to her because having a #1 album is quite a career defining moment although not having a #1 doesn’t take away from her never-ending achievements. For instance, Pink also scored her very first #1 album in the States recently. However, every album since ‘A Girl Like Me’ has gone platinum in the States and multi-platinum worldwide.

Chart position doesn’t really factor if the numbers aren’t there to match (and hers do overtime). But to be able to say she had a #1 album in the UK AND the States at the same time is something nice she can brag about to the kids and grand kids later on in life.

Interesting how Beyonce’s sales have been CONSISTENTLY DECLINING with each passing album – and she is only on her fourth CD.

BTW – Worldwide, Rihanna always OUTSELLS Beyonce.

i cant understand how this could the album that goes to #1 when its the worst of the bunch. Loud was a master piece, along with Rated R. it had substance,and had a sound no 1 was doing at the time. Anyway, she works her ass off, so congrats to her

This is not about Beyonce this is about Rihanna who sold very low sales to reach number 1. According to her stans she should have been way over a mil with this outing considering how she sold her self for it. Beyonce’s last outting did the same thing #1 in the US and UK. Rihanna will get the cold slap in her face next week when them sales the Navy got her this week cant hold up next week. She may have gotten #1 this week but watch next week… This will be her #1 major flop cause she has already dropped in sales… Just think Navy brought multiples each and this is all?

The truth is, Beyonce’s company bought at least 150,000cds to pad her first week sales for 4. It’s called “record company buy backs” and is used by record companies if they think the artist made a misstep and is still bankable, to save face for the artist. Look it up!

No one was expecting a #1 album in the US. Her albums push a mil and thats what the label was aiming for. Its like now that she’s achieved this #1 haters don’t know what to do. “Oh it’s her worst album, oh it took her 7 tries, oh she’ll drop next week” Whatever!! She got a #1 album so eat her pussy. Chris Brown was technically on the last album, she’s dropped an album each November regardless of the competition. Never pushed back – so there is no gimmicks.
