Waiting for that long awaited debut album from Misha B? Fans will have to settle for a second mixtape instead. And perhaps, another one after that…

The singer announces that her new mixtape ‘Knock Knock’ will be distributed in January (New Years Day to be exact). In the video below, the 20-year-old gives details about a competition that fans can enter to design the compilation’s artwork.

Only people in the UK can participate.

This is probably the first time an X Factor finalist has dropped two mixtapes more than a year after their stint on the X Factor. I hope her record label aren’t stalling, because that would really suck. Although mini Chaka recieved her first top 10 hit with ‘Do You Think Of Me,’ it dropped from #9 to #23, and now sits at a pitiful #39 on the official singles chart. After just three weeks, the track almost leaves the top 40.

She’s a talented girl but the record buying public have not really taken to her at all and she is not recieving the proper support system that a premier act should get. Several X Factor graduates that placed outside of the top two (Cher Lloyd, One Direction) have all been allowed to perform on the MAIN X Factor show. But Misha had to settle for performing on their spin-off show The Xtra Factor which is not watched by as many viewers. The only REAL TV performance she had was at the extremely low budget Mobo Awards.

You can have all the right songs and the phenomenal talent to go with it but if you don’t have the likability factor (i.e. Alexandra Burke), it can cause a real problem. If Rihanna released this as her lead single, it would have went straight to #1.

Of course the Mancunian has humbled herself quite a lot since THOSE days where she was deemed as cocky, rude and over confident. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done and the bullying accusations did her no favours. If her songs don’t have staying power, she could very well struggle to get people to support her album. Perhaps she can turn things around? Good luck to her.
