If anyone is on a roll right now, it’s Bruno Mars! Last week, he was predicted to sell 140-160k copies of his new album, ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’. Surprisingly he has exceeded all expectations, thanks to a really aggressive promotional campaign.

‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 this week with over 192k copies sold. The one person to get in the way of his #1 debut was the unstoppable Taylor Swift who pushed a remarkable 208k units of her ‘Red’ album, weeks after its release.
This however, is still a victory for Mars. His debut album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’, sold three times LESS with 55k and debuting at #3 in October 2010. It gets even better for him too. His latest smash ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ remains at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second consecutive week with over 222k digital copies sold and 135 million audience impressions. Congrats!
So deserved!
