We love Brandy! And here she shows us why, with an impromptu presentation of Rihanna‘s smash single ‘Diamonds’!

Ms Norwood owned all 22 seconds! Her smoky addlibs made for a stunning delivery and she sang every word effortlessly. Rihanna would really like it, no doubt! Cover songs aside, Brandy needs to start paying focus to her own album ‘Two Eleven.’

Being the slow burner that it is, the announcement of a third single would be a good start at least. Don’t you just hate it when such good albums go to waste?

My first thought when I read this was that she needs to pay attention to her own fledgling album, instead of releasing youtube clips of her singing another chicks song. Girl, get your priorities together and release the right thrird single!

People need to realise that little clips like this actually help her to get more noticed, look at how the clip blew up over the blogsphere its already got 40.000 plus views on youtube. People who don’t know about her will come to know about her through little things like this, and might decide to check out material she has done. Plus she is gonna be in heavy promotion come top of the year.

I love Brandy – but this was just ok. She’s done this sound before – it’s called the Human album and it didn’t work well for her. Brandy needed to have bangers on Two Eleven. The slow jams killed it and if she had bangers on Two Eleven then she would have slayed. I can name up to 6 bangers and 6 slow jams on each album from Brandy to Afrodisiac. Since then just mid tempos. Know your market – she is not known for her slow songs.

    wtf are you on about – she is not known for Almost Doesn’t Count. Have You Ever – yea in the US. Internationally she is known for the The Boy is Mine, What About Us and then other songs like Top of the World, Full Moon, Talk About Us, Sitting Up In My room, I wanna Be Down etc that is a majority uptempo-mid tempo tracks. Don’t just name 1 ballad and say that proves your point or tell me Afrodisiac was a flop. I never said it wasn’t, so was Human, so is Two Eleven. My point was, is and still is that she needs uptempos tracks. Check your facts and read my comment before you respond with your bs to me!
