Mariah Carey’s new album: Bryan Michael Cox gives update…

In a brand new interview, producer Bryan-Michael Cox says that he and Jermaine Dupri have cut ten songs for Mariah Carey‘s thirteenth studio album. All tracks have been recorded and Cox believes at least four or five will make the cut. I know she values their friendship but I wish she’d work with some fresh producers. The last smash they gave her was massive comeback single ‘We Belong Together’ in 2005 and since then, she’s never been able to replicate that same success. Cox also co-produced her latest royal flop ‘Triumphant’ as well. Should we be worried?

As long as the album is TEOM Part 3, im cool. Shes working with people she trusts but she’s also working with new producers as well. An MC album is usually 14-15 tracks so a few tracks by him I dont think is a big deal. After Triumphant flopped hard, I think MC and her people realize that she cant just be R&B. I am really excited about this album though

B Cox and JD will do better than many fresh guys in the game. Triumphant was a bad song overall but instrumental is actually good.
