Rihanna announces new singles & ‘Unapologetic’ now certified Gold!

Say what you want about her controversial antics as late. Rihanna, not only keeps people talking, she sells albums too! Prior to the announcement that she will perform at the upcoming 2013 Grammy Awards, the latest good news for her is that her latest album, ‘Unapologetic’, has been certified gold, according to the RIAA! And those are not shipments either. She has actually EXCEEDED Gold in the States having sold 581k copies since its release last November.

She has also announced two new singles from ‘Unapologetic’. Those consist of ‘Pour It Up’, which has been distributed to Urban radio, and ‘Stay’, which was released here in the UK on January 7th. There’s really no stopping this chick, huh?! Where are the new music videos at?

Rihanna’s unapologetic is a good album but its been almost two months and it just turned gold in the US? thats a certification an artist like Rihanna (in her 7th album) should get within the first month tops. Look at GaGa even Drake whos a rapper is shipping that much in first week. Hell even annoying “BaddieBey” shoots gold in 3 weeks with her quote on quote “flop” 4 album. so TOOOYYYAAA don’t boost Rihanna’s accomplishments cuz if Beyonce’s album had yet to hit gold YOU WOULD BE RIPPING HER APART. SO DON’T TRY IT HUNTY!

I feel like being messy and saying, you called Beyonce’s platinum 4 a flop. You then turn around and gloat how Rihanna is on top. She may be riding high on Hot 100, but those album sales from the last 3 albums are depressing….Run it back, “Good girl gone bad” and “Loud” are her only truly successful album. Her singles do incredibly well, but she’s not the it girl! If we’re going to call anyone “it” Katy Perry is winning, taylor swift is winning, carrie underwood….
