Sony Music and the website ‘Mashable’ have teamed up to exclusively premiere ‘Nuclear’, the first single from Destiny’s Child since the group broke up in 2005. The track will appear on the new Destiny’s Child collection of previously released ‘Love Songs’ out on January 29th. ‘Nuclear’ was produced by Pharrell Williams, with co-writes from Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal. Beyonce and Bereal took charge of the vocal arrangements.

The uptempo number entails a familiar drum pattern and some 90s dance/house elements. The production itself has that throwback ‘Vogue’-ish feel to it mixed in with DC’s typical style. The vocals are very relaxing, too relaxing in fact, giving it a snoozy, chilled back feel. And to think that they will be performing this at the Super Bowl. For a comeback song, I’m afraid to say this is pants and a very lazy effort just to get the album to sell. Next.
