Ciara‘s appearance on MTVs ‘This Is How I Made It’ saw the singer open up about the humble beginnings of her career. She discusses how she made it from then to where she is right now, reflecting on the highs and lows of her journey. One road block in particular, was her last studio album, ‘Basic Instinct’, which to date has only sold a pitiful 115,000 copies.

An interesting tidbit from the interview was when she spoke on her debut single, ‘Goodies’ and how it actually came about. It was originally called ‘Cookies’ and she was relieved when that got changed. Aren’t we all? Now that she is gearing up to release her upcoming 5th album, ‘One Woman Army’, she is hoping she can put aside the flop that was ‘Basic Instinct’, and experience chart dominance once again. I truly hope LA Reid can support and nurture her needs as an overall artist this time. Jive did her pretty dirty and no one loves an ‘epic’ comeback story more than me.
