He’s back! After a seven-year hiatus, Justin Timberlake unveils new single ‘Suit & Tie’. The now-married crooner enlists rapper Jay-Z for the Timbaland-produced R&B anthem. The track was written by Timberlake, Timbaland, Shawn Carter, Jerome ‘J-ROC’ Harmon and James Flauntleroy. In an open letter to fans, he also confirms that his third solo album will be titled ‘The 20/20 Experience’, which will drop in stores this year.
The groovy mid-tempo sees the singer putting on his tuxedo as he prepares to take his lady out for a night of fun on the town. The suave beat is backed by Timberlake’s signature falsetto over sets of percussion and a sprinkle of horns. As for the song itself, uh huh, I’m going to say what everyone is thinking. It sounds exactly like a Robin Thicke record. It’s not a bad joint to be honest but it IS quite underwhelming for a comeback song after so long. What do you think?
