Last year, the judges of X Factor USA made their entrance to Alexandra Burke‘s rendition of the James Bond theme ‘Live and Let Die’. The iconic track was originally recorded by Paul McCartney & Wings back in 1973, and was also a chart smash for Guns N’ Roses back in 1991. Burke’s version, which has just been released, was produced by Little Mix and Spice Girls producer Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard.
Thanks to the request of Simon Cowell, the 24-year-old got to display her powerful vocal chops in a lane that is so different to what we are use to hearing from her. And while we’re not advocating for her to go this route musically, it would be refreshing to see her experiment on that third studio album, which she is now currently recording. It is a known fact that the music she releases is so beneath her as an overall talented artist.
