Over the weekend, Teairra Mari played a small gig live at the Pitchers Bar & Lounge. She performed some cuts, taking it back to the beginning with ‘Make A Girl Feel Good’ to her more recent offerings, ‘Sponsor’ and ‘U Did That’. As she took to the stage, she debuted a blonde new hairdo. For a moment it was like looking at her rhyming namesake Ciara, which is ironic because poor Ci is basically one step away from Mari status. On second hand, performing at bars and pubs isn’t so bad if people are still willing to depart from their money to check you out.

The days where she was once Jay-Z‘s ‘roc’ are so far and beyond touching distance now. I honestly don’t know what is going on with Teairra’s career these days. I don’t even think we will ever get a new album from her and she’ll more than likely release another gotdamn mixtape but hey, at least she keeps herself out there.
