Alicia Keys will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on February 3rd. Fellow R&B star Beyoncé, whom she collaborated with on ‘Put It in a Love Song’, will headline the halftime show, which will feature performance slots from her Destiny’s Child bandmates.
Ms Keys has big boots to fill, as she follows in the footsteps as not only Beyoncé, but other big voiced divas too such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera. ALL four of them sang ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ at the Super Bowl during the height of their careers. An official announcement of the performance is expected shortly.
