Watch: Beyonce soars with ‘National Anthem’ at Presidential inauguration…

A chick sang like there was no tomorrow. That’s what you get from a Beyonce performance. And that’s what we certainly got when she sang the ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ during President Barack Obama‘s inauguration ceremony less than an hour ago. Mr Obama was sworn in for his second term as President of the United States and what better way to end today’s historic festivities?

The singer was dressed in a black Emilio Pucci gown as she elegantly belted out the patriotic number in front of millions. The performance was in deed a very classy affair as she made clear why she’s one of today’s biggest stars.

King B is the truth. She sang that song. It was also cute when she went back to her seat and J hugged her. Also, did anyone see Paul Ryan was walking right behind her with the biggest smile on his face lol

Some parts were ok. There seemed to be a problem with the mic in the beginning, the same with Kelly Clarkson. Other than that, I think I preferred the Super Bowl version. I only liked this one because it’s been a while since I’ve heard her since “good” live with out singing in a lower key

She sounded good but the performance lacked emotion. Yes she performed the more classic rendition of the song, but I’ve heard plenty of other singers also do the classic rendition and I could hear the pride and emotion in their voices. I enjoyed Kelly Clarkson more. What I do know is this bitch better SLAY me at the Superbowl =)

LOL @ The haters trying to use the emotion excuse. Being emotional in a vocal performance is subjective, and clearly the inauguration audience were emotionally overwhelmed by Beyonce. Try again haters! This is going in the history books. All the critics all agree that Beyonce delivered the vocal goods. She was basically the most anticipated & high point. I mean she has all the major TV networks replaying her performance. Beyonce’s voice is a complex instrument. I simply just can’t get enough
how much she’s in control of her volume. You can hear it in the
beginning especially. She starts soft and adds volume (“what so proudly”
& “at the twilight”). It’s magnificent. Her lower notes were so
clear & crisp. And then when she needs to belt a higher note this
burst of power comes out (“and the rockets’ red glare” & “flag was
still there” & “the brave”), with that fantastic vibrato and no loss
of tonal quality. Then those runs during “banner”…

BTW – Her face looks stuffed with restylane, but oddly, still looks wrinkly.
