Watch: Alicia Keys performs National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVII…

Fourteen-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys performed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl earlier tonight. She sat at her piano, while belting out ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’. And as much as I respect Alicia as an artist, this performance was such a struggle. Bad note after bad note. On a positive one, at least she put her own original spin to the patriotic number.

I didnt think it was terrible, but I felt it was as good as it could get for A.Keys! IT just seems like her vocals have gotten worse and worse over the years… I wonder does she ever practice.

Bad note after Bad note??? It was slow due to the piano play, I thought. It was not bad. I love how white wannabe r&b artist get so much love on here, but blacks are judge so harsh..smh

  Rihanna is holding Her own and in a very good way because She cam two years after alicia, beyonce and shes still holding Her own. And as far as the super bowl goes if Rihanna had Performed then all of you Would still Be Hot in the Seat.

It wasn’t the worst but not the best either. We know she can reach those notes in general but she wouldn’t be a failure if she’d take her notes lower. One can easily think she needs those high keys to give the impact of a song.

Alicia did good to me and I though the Baby Grand was the Business,
sitting all stately there on the Field. And alicia made History for adding the words to the Song and its now the Longest of all the times with Her Added Words at the end.

That was simply awful. You would think, her playing the piano would give her a good sense of pitch. She struggled & strained to reach the important notes. A pitchy mess. Alicia has always been vocally limited, she just doesn’t the vocal range like some of her peers(Beyonce, Carrie underwood, Kelly Clarkson & Jhud)
