Following her much talked about performance at the Super Bowl and her prestigious hosting gig at the Oscars, Kelly Rowland is proving quite the force these days.

Now that she’s ready to put out her new album, ‘Talk A Good Game’, she is letting us know what can be expected from the project. In an exclusive interview at the sixth annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood luncheon, the singer says she will be delivering raw honesty and growth from the project. But with everything we’ve heard so far from Kelly’s new album, I’d say it should definitely come with a free packet of Strawberry condoms.

On songwriting process:

“It’s a very honest album. I remember being in the studio with The Dream and he said, ‘You know, I want to take you out of your comfort zone.’ I started opening up to him with different stories and he decided to write songs about it.”

On album subjects:

“The album touches on friendships and relationships. Some of them were places that I probably just wanted to not think about. The things I pulled back up, I was able to express through song and they are beautiful. They are some of the most beautiful moments on the album.”

The singer’s fourth studio album is scheduled to hit stores this spring.
