Mariah Carey‘s new album is set for May, and she’s enlisted producers Q-Tip & DJ Cassidy, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Big Jim Wright, Hit-Boy, The-Dream and Rodney Jerkins!

The singer reveals to Billboard that the project will have many “raw” ballads. “It’s about making sure I have tons of good music,” she says. “Wherever we go with this project, I’ve tried to keep the soul and heart in it with me, obviously, as the through-line. I was and still am in a very prolific space. I could say, ‘Let’s stop now’ but that’s not who I am, and that’s not what I want this record to be. I really want the fans to love this record.” Quality over quantity. Can’t wait!
