Fantasia‘s lead single ‘Lose to Win’ got it’s first performance this week when she headlined the Centric Happy Hour tour. And she also debuted a new song called ‘Get It Right’ from her upcoming new album ‘The Side Effects Of You’.

‘Get It Right’ is different for her because it has some spunky rock influences so I’m thinking she could have taken a risk with that rather than play it safe and go nowhere. The ‘amen’ brigade certainly packed out the Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland, during the invite-only event. You often get vibes from her performances making you feel as if you were right in church!

She looks great but it’s going to take more than some throaty growls and barefooted prowling for this project to see a major lift. ‘Lose to Win’ has only peaked at #38 on Billboard’s US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the track has yet to make an impact on the Hot 100. I think Fanny is going to need to put out another new single before the album drops on April 23rd. It just seems like the most practical thing to do at this point.
