Season 4 of NBC’s ‘The Voice USA’ kicked off in rock ‘n’ roll style last night (March 25th). Coaches Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton took to the stage to perform The Beatles classic ‘Come Together’. Check out the rocking performance and see who did what after the jump!

The Voice‘s season 3 is currently in production, and during this weekend’s Olympics Opening Ceremony, a new promo video was broadcast. The clip features judges Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine flying in slow motion to get to that all important button.
I love Prince, and I certainly don’t take kindly to people massacring his songs. I can’t say I enjoyed the Prince medley by Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green during last night’s airing of ‘The Voice’. They shared the same stage while performing some of the legend’s hit songs including ’1999′, ‘Little Red Corvette’, ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover’ and ‘Kiss’.
Poor Shelton. He was clearly out of his comfort zone. The moment he started singing, I just bust out laughing. The other judges didn’t mesh that well either. As talented singers as they are, one of the reasons why this failed was because all four artists have distinct styles and sounds. Combining them for a Prince tribute was never going to work. Christina Aguilera‘s comeback could be a healthy one if debuting figures for her hit show ‘The Voice’ is anything to go by. Her spray tan embarrassment at Etta James funeral has now become a distant memory after ‘The Voice’ scored record-breaking debuting numbers of 37.6 million viewers right after the Super Bowl broadcast. That is almost double the number (20 million) Simon Cowell predicted for his lukewarm performing ‘X Factor USA’ show and almost three times more than what his show attracted last year (an average of 12 million).
The numbers also trump ‘American Idol’ which now averages a 20 million audience, and it doesn’t help that they encountered their biggest ratings drop in the shows history since it’s season 11 debut in January. Even if ratings drop for ‘The Voice’, and they begin averaging American Idol type numbers, this would still be a major victory. An accomplishment which will have Cowell seething in his high waisted pants. For those are the very numbers he was having wet dreams about when he was riding on that cocky high horse of his. Cowell’s panic about the shows lukewarm ratings has resulted in a recent bloodbath: a host and two judges recieving the axe.
Aguilera must be popping corks right now, because this is the breakthrough needed to secure herself a successful music comeback. New single ‘Love Your Body’ seemed like it was ready to be premiered last month. RCA Records submitted the track to several radio personalities who were waiting for the “go ahead”, and yet, nothing. Still, it would be unwise not to benefit from the shows astounding popularity like what her co-stars have done previously (and encountered chart success in doing so).
NBC hit show ‘The Voice’ is back on US TV screens tonight! Christina Aguilera and her co-stars Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are featured in a very LOL-worthy commercial titled ‘Vocal Kombat’. The show kicks off right after the Super Bowl spectacle.
The comical effect to the commercial is to be appreciated. All four judges kick each others ass in their quest to get to their “voice”, and the Betty White conclusion added a very nice touch to the story! This was definetely more enjoyable than the Pepsi commercial featuring Melanie Amaro and Sir Elton John. Check it out below!

The issue promotes the Super Bowl premiere of their NBC hit show ‘The Voice’ slated to air on February 5th. I was going to say Aggy looks pretty elegant in her leather jacket and sparkly Louboutins but those trademark leggings just throws it all off. Dare I say it, but her and Adam would make such a hot couple. Their chemistry is absolutely raging. Not just on screen, but in this new photo, more than anything.
An excerpt from the magazine sees the singer talk a bit about her upcoming new album: “I only make records when I’m really passionate and have something to say, and I have a lot to say, with the time that was taken off since my last record – a couple of years. I have a lot of sh*t, a lot of crazy sh*t” (source). Well, when you put it like that, how can you not be excited to hear Aggy’s new music?
With just weeks to go for ‘The Voice’ to hit screens, NBC has now released the official promotional poster for season two. The show, set to premiere after the Superbowl, sees Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine allowing their swiveling chairs to dominate the TV airwaves once again.
Carson Daly will be back as host, while Christina Milian replaces Alison Haislip. Which one is better? This one or American Idol? Let the battle commence!

The above promotional photo was just released to mark the beginning of the show’s second season, which will launch directly after the Super Bowl on February 5th. Levine and his band Maroon 5 will also perform with Aguilera at the 2011 American Music Awards, airing Sunday, November 20th, on ABC.
The very first teaser promo for season two of NBC’s hit singing competition, ‘The Voice’, aired last night during Saturday Night Live which coincidently had Maroon 5 as the musical guest. The clip shows coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton selecting contestants during the blind auditions phase of the competition.
