Last night, Brandy performed a concert at War Memorial Auditorium, Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, TN on June 8th.

Fans really loved it when the Mississippi-born veteran delivered her nostalgic self to the show. They screamed their loudest when she performed a little routine to ‘Sitting On Top Of The World’, alongside many other classic songs from her back catalogue. Brandy also tributed her late idol Whitney Houston by performing a very upbeat medley of her dance classics!

Brandy fans, don’t get mad at this just yet. During a UK radio interview with Kiss FM earlier this morning, Jessie J confirmed that she recorded a duet with R&B songstress Brandy for her upcoming new album.

The singer expresses how awesome it was to work with such an industry veteran but says that the song may NOT make the final cut. I can hear those angry sighs already. With Brandy seemingly ditching the gem that is her latest album ‘Two Eleven’, this would serve as something new for her fans to look forward to.

The complexity of Jessie’s mezzo-soprano combined with Brandy’s sultry contralto would certainly make for a ‘different’ type of collaboration. I’m really excited about it. See what Jessie J says about their exciting new collabo below!

Brandy poses for the latest cover of PYNK magazine where she addresses the underwhelming sales of her latest album ‘Two Eleven’. She says she’s very proud of the album because it was appreciated by the fans. She notes, she’d have loved the album to reach more people but sales chart positions don’t define her. “I define me” she says defiantly. It pains me to say it but to date, ‘Two Eleven’ has only sold 178,613 copies since its release last October. Did it deserve to sell more? Yes it did. Performances from last month’s ‘BET Honors’ aired last night! Alicia Keys honoured Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry during a rousing performance of ‘Brand New Me’ from latest album ‘Girl On Fire’. Meanwhile, Brandy belted out her ‘Two Eleven’ album cut ‘Without You’. Nice performances from those two, especially Brandy. That chick certainly has a set of pipes on her. Lovely.

Over the weekend, Brandy performed in front of 40,000-plus people at the 2013 Honda Battle of the Bands in Atlanta, GA. Rocking jasepi boots and a bright yellow top, the singer sang some of her hit songs and new cuts, including ‘Put It Down’, ‘Wildest Dreams’ and ‘Full Moon’. Producer Bangladesh came out for the first number and the cheering crowd gave them both some love!

MTV’s ‘This Is How I Made It’ shines the spotlight on R&B veteran Brandy! The beginning of Brandy’s career stemmed from her father’s church where she performed for the very first time. The 33-year-old also shares her admiration for her idol, Whitney Houston‘s music and cherishes the friendship that they had.

Fancy seeing more performances from today’s biggest R&B divas? Look no further, because Brandy and past honoree Alicia Keys have been tapped to perform at the 2013 BET Honors which will air on February 11th. Other performers on the bill include Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Erykah Badu, Wayne Brady, Mint Condition, Ledisi, and The SOS Band. The ceremony will take place at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C and will be pre-recorded on January 11th.

The BET Honors also celebrates the accomplishments of African Americans in varying fields. T.D. Jakes will be honoured with the Award for Education, Clarence Avant for Entrepreneur Award, Halle Berry for Award for Service, Chaka Khan for Award for Musical Arts and Lisa Leslie for Awards for Athletics. Be sure to tune in!

Rare rehearsal footage of Brandy performing her ‘Two Eleven’ album cut ‘Scared of Beautiful’ surfaced online today. Brandy delivered a raw and passionate presentation of the Frank Ocean-penned cut.
