Last night saw serial lip-syncer Celine Dion perform ‘Jasmine Flower’ with Zuying Song at the 2013 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. She also performed her global smash ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from box office smash Titanic. You’d think she was popping the muscles in her neck the way she was waving her hand around and giving serious facial contortion. But the reality is, no real vocals came out of her mouth. Shocking? Ne-yo and legendary powerhouse Celine Dion hit up a recording studio last night. The song they are working on will appear on Celine’s forthcoming new album ‘Water and a Flame’, which will serve as the follow-up to 2007′s ‘Taking Chances’. Ne-yo says that they are “doing something epic” for the project. Celine’s album is slated for October, and will be an assortment of new cuts and cover songs performed in her Las Vegas show. It’s not the first time the duo worked together. Ne-yo wrote ‘I Got Nothing Left’ on her last studio album as well. Does their reunion excite you?

Headliner Celine Dion took to the stage at the Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival this weekend. Dion’s performance was indisputably outstanding and the Jamaican crowd seemed to love every single second of it. The powerhouse diva performed some of her most iconic hits at Greenfield Stadium in Trelawny, Jamaica. Such an enjoyous gig it was, crowds were singing along to all the songs word for word. Each song was greeted with claps and loud cheers.

The 43-year-old is no stranger to performing at Jamaica Jazz and has amassed quite a huge following over there. She was joined on stage by reggae artist Diana King and reportedly flew over in a private jet (her Gulfstream G450) from her West Palm Beach home in Florida. Powerhouse diva Celine Dion also leant her powerful vocal chops at the MDA Telethon in Las Vegas this weekend. In her plea to help find a cure for muscular dystrophy, she took to the stage to perform the classic ‘Open Arms’. Sounds familiar Mimi lambs? Of course it does, as this is the timeless power ballad which was made famous by fellow powerhouse legend Mariah Carey.

I will never appreciate any other version more than Mariah’s, but Celine did her thang, and she saaaang. Beautifully, I must add. The 43-year-old showed the world that she can still belt out when need be, proving why she’s up there as one of today’s top veteran vocalists. Check out her performance below.
