Sadly, Christina Aguilera‘s appearance at this years Billboard Music Awards won’t be to plug her latest album ‘Lotus’. Signs already point to that being officially scrapped and used for coffee coasters at the RCA offices.

The 32-year-old will join rapper Pitbull at the Las Vegas ceremony to perform their hit collaboration ‘Feel This Moment’ on May 19th. I guess some relevancy is better than none even if it’s centered around somebody else’s project. I just wish she hadn’t given up on ‘Lotus’ so abruptly.

This is a little random seeing Christina Aguilera expressing her love and attending the concert of one of her younger pop peers. Vintage Aggy would never express her love for another female pop artist. With her last few albums tanking horribly, I guess you lose your privilege rights to act bitchy and stuck-up. But I MISS that side to her and to this day, I still laugh at her Lady Gaga remarks. But when she attended Rihanna‘s star-studded ‘Diamonds’ tour in Los Angeles over the weekend, she had nothing but nice things to say.

Actually, I can see why Christina’s heart has warmed to the younger chart topper. Rihanna most likely reminds Aggy of her younger, rebellious self during her widely successful ‘Stripped’ era in 2002. Peep her declaration of love below!

During the screening premiere of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Season 4 this week, Christina Aguilera discusses taking vacations and the possibility of working on new music.

Unfortunately, devastating storms ripped apart the petals of ‘Lotus’, so much that it was unable to survive the harshest weather conditions. And then, to intoxicate herself from the album’s floppage, she’s decided to scrap touring to go on vacation to Japan with her son Max. New music this year will only be entertained when she’s good and ready. So apparently, she’s gone from “I need to get back to artist mode” to “I do things when it feels right”, and she hasn’t embarked on a world tour in 7 years.

With the album selling at a snail-trailing rate, I decided to become the good Samaritan and direct folks to this unmissable offer! At this point, ‘Lotus’ is going to need as much help as it can get, since it is struggling to hit the 250k mark. And in a slow moving economy where people will gladly sacrifice their rent money for (morbidly expensive) Beyonce tickets, where’s the hurt in buying a decent pop album? Make sure you have some ear plugs at the ready. Because Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson are set to tribute the late legend Donna Summer at the 28th annual ‘Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’ ceremony on April 18th. You can catch their performances when the show airs May 18th, courtesy of HBO. Aggy and J.Hud previously shared a stage when they both tributed the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin at the 2011 Grammy Awards.

Back then they actually did a good job. BUT, as those two trail further into their 30s, their vocal control seems to have hit a mid-life crisis. Hopefully that is not the case this time around. Will they deliver?

Last night saw Christina Aguilera deliver a candlelit performance of her emotional ballad ‘Blank Page’ at The People’s Choice Awards 2013. The big voiced diva looked quite reserved in simple black pants and a white fitted blazer as she allowed her amazing vocals to command the audience at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles. She also snagged a special honour called the ‘People’s Voice’ award to recognise her achievements in the industry.

The performance was very powerful and her vocals remained in control. Her showing also served as promo for her latest album ‘Lotus’, which was very much needed due to the snail-trailing pace it is selling. Check out her stunning performance below.
