I lied, bitches! Bite me. There are some people you pay to see on tour (Beyoncé) and then there’s others that you don’t. In this case, Leona Lewis meets the latter. Well, if you’re paying to hear great live vocals, then sure, knock yourself out. She won’t disappoint you on that front. But when it comes to her attempts at dancing, it’s just real awkward. A Janet Jackson or a J.Lo she will never be. But at least she tried, despite having the stage charisma of a sweaty pair of socks. It’s really unfortunate how Leona‘s career has fallen off (kinda), but at the end of the day she’s made her millions, can go away for a bit, have a baby and live comfortably. As I correctly predicted, Leona Lewis has ditched her management team at Modest! A representative of Syco confirms in a press release that she will release her fourth studio album later this year! Leona’s latest album ‘Glassheart’ performed really badly in the UK (it sold a paltry 27K in its opening week). And her latest single ‘Lovebird’, failed to crack the top 200.

The album’s tanking is likely to have influenced her decision to seek out new management. Can’t say I blame her. This era was totally mismanaged especially with all the pushbacks so hopefully, she can relight the fire in her career again. I’m totally rooting for her!

As far as the UK is concerned, Leona Lewis has been keeping a low profile after her latest album ‘Glassheart’ bombed. However, she’s been promoting the project in other European markets, including Germany where she performed a powerful rendition of lead single ‘Trouble’ live on German show ‘Wetten, dass…?’ (January 19th). This would be her third time performing on the show and she smashed it! She also did an interview about the album as well.

Speaking to the host, Leona confirms that she is planning to tour the country in mid-April. The album did really well in Germany, and this will be the very first time she tours there.

Before Leona Lewis dropped her new album ‘Glassheart’, she released an EP called ‘Hurt’. One of those tracks on the compilation was a Counting Crows cover titled ‘Colorblind’. Today, she releases an unseen acoustic performance of the powerful ballad via her official VEVO channel and she sang her heart out, beautifully!

In several parts of the world, New Year’s Day has already arrived, and Leona Lewis was on hand to perform at China’s CCTV New Year’s gala to ring in 2013. The 27-year-old did not perform any tracks from her warmly-received new album ‘Glassheart’, and instead opted to belt out ‘I See You’ and her first ever smash hit ‘Bleeding Love’. About two weeks ago, Leona Lewis released the second single from her latest album Glassheart. But if you weren’t aware of its issuing, you could be forgiven, as it was poorly promoted.

From the replacement of Fireflies, to releasing the video and single in a close time period, to NOT performing it on the X-Factor (where everyone is guaranteed a hit single unless you’re Primark’s Tulisa), everything was a disordered and cluttered mess.
